getting ready
One of the sweetest parts of the morning was seeing Emma surrounded not just by her bridesmaids, but also by her young nieces. Their family is incredibly close-knit, and the girls were thrilled to be part of the day, getting their hair done, wearing black dresses to match the bridesmaids, and soaking in the excitement. Watching Emma interact with them was a beautiful reminder of the strong family bonds woven throughout the day, adding an extra layer of warmth and joy to those getting-ready moments.
the fashion
Emma’s bridal look was nothing short of iconic. Channeling a chic 1970s vibe, she exuded effortless sophistication with a sleek hairstyle by Amanda D’Andrea—her glossy brunette locks blown out smoothly and a curl up at the ends. The look had everyone drawing comparisons to Priscilla Presley, a nod to timeless glamour with a modern twist. Her breathtaking long-sleeve lace gown hugged her silhouette beautifully, featuring a high neckline and intricate floral detailing. JKO Beauty complemented her look with luminous, understated makeup, allowing Emma’s natural beauty to shine through. The wedding party, dressed in black tuxedos and sleek black gowns, created a cohesive, timeless look.
Emma and Andrew’s first look took place on the grand staircase at The Switch House, a setting that provided the perfect contrast to Emma’s classic gown. The industrial architecture, with its clean lines and large windows, created a striking backdrop for Emma’s grand entrance, descending the staircase. When Andrew turned around and saw Emma for the first time, his reaction was genuine—no grand gestures, just an authentic moment of happiness and admiration. We moved through the venue for portraits, taking advantage of the beautiful natural light and architectural details.
the flowers
The ceremony space was beautifully minimal, with RAM Floral creating an understated yet impactful floral installation around the fireplace. White roses, anthuriums, and greenery framed the space, and candles lined the aisle, adding warmth without overwhelming the room. Knowing this was RAM Floral’s final wedding made the design even more special—they truly poured their heart into it. Emma walked down the aisle with both her parents, and the emotion in the room was palpable. Andrew’s expression said it all—no need for anything elaborate when the love is that clear. They exchanged personal vows, filled with heartfelt words and a few laughs, and sealed it with a simple, sincere kiss.
The reception space at The Switch House was designed with clean, modern elegance in mind. RAM Floral’s work stood out here as well, with floral arrangements that felt fresh and contemporary—white roses, anemones, and soft greenery, paired with sleek black dinnerware and gold accents. The sweetheart table, framed by floral arches and candlelight, was simple yet stunning.
the escort display
Sleek black pillars framed by more gorgeous orchid arrangements escorted guests to their table. If you've got a Cricut machine in your arsenal, this would be a chic and fairly easy DIY.
the cake
The couple opted for an elegant tiered Lambeth-style wedding cake in an ivory buttercream. And while the cake design leaned towards traditional, they made sure to spice it up with a cheeky topper (at least for a few photos).
the reception
The energy during the reception was relaxed and joyful. Emma and Andrew’s first dance felt natural and unforced, followed by heartfelt parent dances. A special moment came when Emma invited her mother for a surprise mother-daughter dance, which was met with cheers from everyone. The dance floor stayed lively all night, with friends and family fully embracing the celebration. There were glow sticks, spontaneous singing, and even a bit of crowd surfing—moments that didn’t feel staged but rather a natural extension of the fun everyone was having. As the night wound down, Emma and Andrew shared a private last dance, surrounded by the quiet glow of candles. It was a simple, intimate moment that felt true to who they are.
